Social Business Workshop, February 26, 2015, Università della Svizzera Italiana

On Feb. 26, 2015 two classes of MBA students from Università della Svizzera Italiana (USI), the largest university in Lugano and Canton Ticino, gathered in the USI auditorium to participate in a Social Business Workshop offered by Social Business Earth in collaboration with Prof. Gianluca Colombo, Executive MBA Co-Director and Prof. of Entrepreneurship and Management. The one-day workshop offered the opportunity to 80 MBA students to learn about the principles and best practices of social business and work on a social business idea to solve a social or environmental problem. Many great and creative ideas emerged, such as a social business to solve the issue of 20 million stray dogs in Brazil, or to solve the problem of sticky gum all over the cities. Our Social Business Workshops aim to create a strong network of social entrepreneurs in Switzerland and encourage the creation of new social businesses in Ticino and globally.
